Dean Okai Snr

Dean Okai Senior is a Father, businessman and community activist. He entered the political arena when joining Panther UK on May 7 1993 at the age of 18, where he was introduced to Pan African politics after reading "How Europe under developed Africa" by Walter Rodney after being introduced to it by his political teacher Emison Webster.

Concurrently he was running a pirate video wholesale business whilst living on his own which gave him clarity about the dichotomy between street life and petty criminals and the structures of the system that govern us.

He went on over the course of 25 years to run businesses and learn lessons from their failures, which enabled him to realise there is no substitute for lived experience. This experience leads to advanced problem solving skills that Dean decided to transfer to community solutions using Dr. Claud Anderson's tenets of Powernomics.

In 2017 he set up the Solution Room think tank to work in the areas of Education, Economics, Justice, Politics, and Media. With his partner Iola, this physically manifested as the monthly Thursday Club meeting with the tag line "Face to Face is the new social networking", which saw crowds of up to 200 attending the event.

Realising there was more needed than just physically meeting and the exchange of ideas, he set up the African Diaspora Political Action Committee (ADPAC) as a charity and soon to be trust, to lobby and advocate exclusively on behalf of African Diaspora people and built a relationship with 6th Region of the African Union.

Afriphobic structural racism implements applied behavioral psychology to keep us in a constant state of anxiety, by recognizing this tactic we understand that racism is a distraction to divert our attention from focussing on our Plan A

By 2,457,549 British African & African-Caribbean citizens focussing and investing in our priorities, Afriphobic structural racism will have much less of an impact on our lives

We make up a large part of the public sector and by coming together with our collective intention not only make them a protected group but also make us a protected group whilst using the institutions they work for

Plan A is the clarity of collective purpose and priority that has eluded our capacity to unify as Africans & African-Caribbeans

Together we'll establish an effective plan A' to protect ourselves from structural Afriphobic racism

Our 2,457,549 population deserves structural inclusion and together we'll deliver it for ourselves

Common values - Common principles - Common Outcome

What should an African & African-Caribbean civic and social plan look like?

If we take our main needs into account where we currently experience structural racism it should look something like the five objectives below

There is no shame in us specifically representing the African & African-Caribbean UK populations any more than, the Board of Jewish deputies, Sekh Council, Romany Gypsy Council or Islamic Council representing their specific communities.

The term "too Black" has been drummed into our subconscious psyche from our earliest memories and the inference is wrapped in shame and self-loathing. Being of African descent is no different from being of Chinese descent, we don't change ethnicity based on our domicile.

It's just that due to our relationship with Europeans as descendants of enslaved generations and colonial subjects, we've been bombarded with applied behavioral psychology to keep us in a constant state of anxiety.

This applied behavioral psychology is a cold war tactic that continues to this day and started with our contact with state schools. On recognising this, it's time to discontinue our relationship with the European 500 years "Black" experiment {in which we have merely been subjects but not contributed}.

We remain African Diasporas irrespective of how non-Africans identify us.

The Critical Thinkers Club is a self awareness and improvement boot camp for young men to introduce them to successful life skills and concepts of good self governance. We are intelligent biological machines, whose minds are comparable to computers as intelligent electronic machines.

Our brains are comparable to CPU's, which process a computers information. Our minds, like operating systems govern programs to perform tasks and solve problems. Programs are updated frequently with new lines of code (education, social trends, external influences ) but can also be infected by Malware (trauma, harmful programming, damaging family traditions and negative peer pressure).

The Critical Thinkers Club enables our young men to apply an anti-virus (coping mechanisms, support networks, recognition of non beneficial communication and self validation) to the challenges of malware viruses by external parties. All of these concepts are explored during circle time sessions between peer guides and beneficiaries.
