THE MEN-AB DISCIPLINE PROCESS
(c) 05/2005 John Norris, Director
The Men-AB Discipline Process program is working with alternative ethnic
cultured disadvantaged neighborhood youth, providing positive values and young life
skills that will help support their families and community.
The program is focused on young men and women from minority cultures, we
assist them in eliminating their negative behavior that causes much harm to their
neighborhoods and community.
Instructors are chosen from the community and trained to act as facilitators.
They work together with the young people on study projects as well as community
events to help relate their training to community services.
Youth are recruited into the program as candidates for personal development.
This multi-generation process works with the close support of trained adult
volunteers and a senior supervisor.
The process brings young men and women, ages twelve to seventeen into a
classroom setting with adult supervision and role models. The idea is to have them
learn positive values from the models presented to them, and understand the common
basis of all adult cultures throughout history.
The program provides four to six month training and complete study materials
with the opportunity to continue their study if interested.
The MEN-AB process incorporates the use of meditation and group study to
help students reach a level of social discipline and self-control.
Emphasis is directed at learning to discipline the working of the inner-self.
The Project is entitled the THE MEN-AB DISCIPLINE PROCESS in reference
to the developmental curriculum, values and discipline involved.

the fact that mystics, philosophers, and sages in all the great cultures that have
flourished in China, India, and the West have performed some kind of discipline.
The M.D.P. awakens the skills and essential nature, which must be active to
complete our human evolutionary process. It also acts as stimuli for other resources
which are just lying dormant within one's being.
Change, which is certain, will come. Therefore, man must understand and
accept change. However, one must maintain balance amidst change. The M.D.P. is
The major benefits to be derived from the M.D.P. is enabling the individual to
preserve self-esteem, grow psychologically stronger, and develop attitudes
conductive to living in harmony with others.
