We need to protest voting rights! The same uprising we have when someone black is killed at the hands of police officers is the same way we need to protest against voter suppression. Real change starts by voting and protesting. We need to go to each state Capitol and protest and demand what we want. If we don't you can best believe the other side will steal the coming election from underneath our feet. Do whatever you can to make sure your vote is counted even if it means rioting. By any means necessary! This coming election is critical for people of color, women, minorities and anyone who has faced racism or discrimination in any form. Literally your life depends upon it. We can't afford to sit out or on the sidelines. If you value your family and the life you dream of and want for your children to have then you have to vote. If your vote wasn't valued then they wouldn't be trying so hard to keep you from voting. I don't want to hear any damn excuses for why you can't vote, or why you don't like said candidate. I don't want to hear I'm not voting because they're both the same. If you don't like something then get off your ass and do something about it. Don't complain if you don't vote. That's like saying I want to lose weight but you're not working out or eating right. That shit is counterproductive. Learn how politics and the government works and how your local elections affect you more than federal elections. Get involved in local politics and initiatives that go own in your communities. All these things are free to the public. Please I implore you to remember our ancestors and forefathers and fore mothers who fought and died to lay down their lives for us to have the opportunities to vote. Please don't let their sacrifices die in vain. So much is at stake in the upcoming 2020 election I can't even fathom what would happen if 45 is elected again. Think about the supreme court having a 6 to 3 advantage for decades to come. They will be able to overturn any previous rulings with no recourse. Imagine the Republicans having complete control of the supreme court, Congress and a Republican president. Life, liberty and democracy as we know would effectively come to an end. So with this I leave you this thought there are no easy paths in life, the easiest path looks good but in the end the difficult path will always have greater significance, power and rewards. Where are all these so called religious leaders in the black community? I ain't seen one prominent black religious leader at any protest. If they're able to call for the people to come to church then surely they can use their influence to get people to come together. All these churches and pastors preaching the prosperity gospel but yet have to donate any money to any cause. I didn't see or know of MLK except through history but he was a pastor too and was not only on the front lines but the leader, where are these leaders now? Is it too much to ask them to join in the protests, is it too much to ask them to leave their cushy homes and get in the trenches, is it too much to ask them to use their influence, is it too much to ask them to use their monies by the way which comes from their congregation. I'm not bashing any particular religious denomination but maybe it's time to boycott churches and religion in general because surely if the protesters can take up their cross to bear then surely the one's who are appointed and annointed by God can do the same.
While we protesting for equality, can we also, "just say no" to meth users like Nancy and Ronald did for crack users???? Now METH is a community problem and we need to provide safe havens for these addicts and we need to be sympathetic about their addiction, but NOBODY is sympathetic for crack users because it happens predominantly in black neighborhoods. It's ok to lock up cracks users and throw the key away. Most African Americans face 15years-Life for crack cocaine...but we will provide meth users with safe places to use the drugs and even clean supplies to use. SMDH!!!!! LET'S MAKE THIS FAIR TOO WHILE WE ARE AT IT!!!!! REVAMP THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM!! STOP MAKING BLACK PEOPLE CRIMINALS FOR THE ECONOMY!! JUST SAY NO!!!!
